Fallout 4 So Preston Must Be Synth?

So could the human Preston died? and the Institute made synth Preston?
Would explain giving the same boring missions?and why Preston is boring due
to being synth? how do we know Preston is human? So he must be synth?

Nate is a combat veteran, a survivor of the Anchorage wars, military training and experience. Decorated for his heroism in battle.

I see it in Fallout 4, and I expect Fallout 5 will be far worse.

To be fair, Nate can be a war hero while being a blind and clumsy Idiot Savant. It's equally up to you to decide whether your run as Nora is a charismatic pacifist or a muscle-headed brawler.

I'm glad they didn't go the route of making the choice between Nate/Nora with pre-defined starting bonuses or abilities, as though one would be stronger and the better fighter but the other would be smarter and more charismatic. We make our own character however we see fit and increase whatever numbers we want.

1) Preston Garvey is NOT a helpful character. Like most characters in the game he says he's helpful, but he's a damned liar. He never helps SS even though SS saved his worthless life. Garvey keeps asking for help but never helps SS. It may look like he helps by telling Surges to help SS but Garvey is not motivated to help SS, he's motivated to blow up the Institute and is once again using SS as a useful idiot.

2) I don't see how it follows that because Danse, Glory or Gabriel are synths that Garvey is a synth.

3) Synth means something in game. He's not a "synth" because he's an NPC programmed poorly by Bethesda.
