Having an issue with Gas Masks
My character has permanent blood splatter on the screen and I have no idea how to remove it. I've been using the gas masks mod for a long time, load up my game today to see blood splatter, the wipes are not working. I've reloaded older saves, removed, saved, re-installed, loaded.... nothing works. I have over 45 hours on this character and the only other save I have is 20 hours earlier :( Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Looks like other people have had and/or are having your problem. I've never seen so many bug reports on a mod frankly.

Does using your pip-boy ever help? Since this might just be because of the mod I'd suggest following that mod's bug reports on the nexus to see if they address it directly.

Though given that the last update to that file was 2 years ago, it's highly unlikely to be bothered with.

there's an INI setting that i found doing a search that might work. the user i got it from said it was in his documents -> my games -> fallout 4 -> fallout4custom.ini
[Interface] bBloodSplatterEnabled=0

you could try putting it in your fallout4custom.ini. if it doesn't work there then try it in PREFS.ini

Thank you both for the reply. I ended up deleting the gas masks mesh folder and re-installing the mod. For whatever reason the splatter would not go away even if the mod was removed. I spent 4 hours trying to figure out the problem, no idea still :/ The mod is really good and I've never had any serious issues with it, other than the power armor bug it has worked wonderfully.
