A quick question about Fallout 4 HD Overhaul.
Along with the mod redoing the textures of the world, does this also redo characters and npcs as well? If it doesn't, what are some that y'all can recommend?

Edit: Thank you guys for the suggestions for texture mods, but what I am looking for right now are mods that overhaul character model and stuff like companions and normal npcs.

Never use the HD pack from Bethesda. That's genuinely all that needs to be said.

Pick and choose what texture upgrades YOU want on YOUR computer. The one from bethesda is a ridiculously bloated pile of barely-there changes.

I'm not using the one on steam, I'm using this one.

If I am not mistaken, it does in fact alter the textures for npcs and the player character. I recommend the 2K version as the 4K version is significantly larger in file size.

Now they tell me there's a smaller version

Always advisable to read all the reports, forum threads, and info you can, before installing any mod no matter what type or how big.

If you haven't gotten far, just kill the saves, remove the big one and install the right one, and start fresh.

I recommend Luxor's textures as well, pretty amazing stuff. Also check out his other textures for some things (assumedly) not covered by the large overhaul.
You will need a GPU with at least 6 gb VRAM though.

Does anyone know anything about the one that was announced for next year? That might be the one the author was referring to. It was announced recently without too much fan fare if I recall. Slept since then .

We do not know anything more than they announced it. When they are closer to releasing it I'm sure - at least I seriously hope- that they will have done some amount of telling people what to expect.

Based on the first one I really do not expect a lot from this one. Besides, there are already some very good ENB's on Nexus to use.
