Different starting point mods????

Does anyone know of any Mods ( on the fallout 4 game, NOT ON NEXUS) that i can chose and it is like " frost " , as i see on YouTube where you have a diff starting location and its more survival based and not start in the vault????? anything like that? I don't use nexus as of yet.

Do remember that a lot of these - including any 'semi-official' ones found on bethesda - may break your game outright. Anything that starts you somewhere that the whole rest of the game hasn't accounted for MIGHT screw it all badly.

Or maybe start in the vault but then before going out to the surface, you grab the pipboy and type coc XX any location in the commonwealth you want to start. Have you tried this way?

Start Me Up Redux is the 2022 version of the top alternate start mod, which had 47k endorsements so it's a very nice, thorough mod. Changes the dialogue to reflect different starts so you don't have to follow the frantic parent story.
