Easy Hacking - speeds up hacking. You got the perk, you're in. You're going to hack it anyway.

Easy Lockpicking - speeds up lockpicking. This does cheat in that you don't break bobby pins.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/227
The entire FallUI series. It doesn't change the game, your pipboy does what a pip boy should be doing!
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/51813
Faster Terminal displays - because you don't want Fallout 5 to be released while you're waiting for a 300 baud terminal to fill the screen. Lets pretend they have 2400 baud terminals.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/937
Killable Children - because BOS squires are annoying.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/197
Locksmith - You need this to unlock the door to Diamond City without having to play along with Piper's lying to Danny, who's just doing his job. I don't use it for anything else. SS Is NOT a trader from Quincy!
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12454
magazine issue numbers - I used to use this so I could see the comic books with the base game Pip Boy. You might not need it with the FallUI, tho. Also, the numbers don't match what various websites say they are on a map, so they're kinda confusing that way.

Nuclear Physicist - No Fusion Core Ejection ; because I keep blowing SS up when I think he has 1 more grenade, and I'm wrong. it's stupid that it defaults to the fusion core being ejected.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15663
Recruit the Wounded Dog - because if I accident shoot dear little Sparky, I have to reload a save before that. Sometimes sparky is just so happy to see SS, she comes running up to say hi!. Look just like a Wild mongrel attack. This puts her safely in a settlement.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/60597
Running with corpses - because cleaning out the dead in a settlement you just cleared of raider, SM or ferals takes too long and doesn't add to the game.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/19294
SKK Fast Start new game - because i can only spin that damned toy over shauns crib so many times. I've tried other fast starts, but this one... it justt works!
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/29227
Unoffical Fallout 4 patch - because everyone has it and I am a sheep that goes with the herd quite mindlessly.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/29227
Wall Pass through power conduits - because using walls with holes in them and passing wires though broken windows is lame. It works on most build stuff like cement, wood, and metal walls. doesn't work on a lot of the buildings in the game tho.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/20262
IMHO, these just move the game along faster. Additional mods are a matter of choice and your tolerance for bugs
do you have any good tutorial how to install these things? I installed vortex but I'm still super confused
It's easy until I started Skyrim, then everything was borked and it was start over time.
also gets borked when you have Vortex on the D drive, can't find some stupid .dll file. Solution is to just link to it on the Vortex directory on the D drive. Nexus has no idea how to fix that, and will do the "Douglas salute" and blame Windows.
Check out the Vortex Beginner's Guide series by Gopher on Youtube.
thank you both! I definitely will
There is a combined mod for these two: Easy Hacking and Lockpicking https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/31527
As Xenon said, you still need to train the appropriate perk for the terminal and lock levels. No picking master locks or hacking master terminals until you train in that level of it.
