What's up with automatic radium rifle?
Wow such a trash weapon...The recoil is so insanely high that it feels like a .50 machine gun
Seriously what a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is this weapon

in my last play-through i got this radium rifle that shot 2 projectiles LOL. with some mods and perks it is tame-able but you should have heard that thing pop off, it was marvelous.

I like the radium rifle, but I never use full auto, cuz 0.45 cal is scarce. Convert it to semi-Auto, and it's my weapon of choice. And there are other modifications you can make to reduce the recoil; recoil stock, muzzle, etc.

ye semi auto is not too bad but full auto is garbage with the recoil of a .50 machine gun
minigun has less recoil in the game...
Also Thompson is the same .45 SMG but it's recoil is almost nonexistent
Stock and muzzle brake upgrades do not change anything but add weight to radium rifle

I'm not saying the radium rifle is good. Funnily back then I started a similar thread regarding the radium rifle, cause those differences bugged me.

Depends on the range you want to use the radium rifle. I've seen far worse in Mass Effect.
Don't get me wrong: it's not really my thing, either, but normally you'd use a full-automatic rifle on 5-20 m, right? And on that range it doesn't really matter.

many people say it's good for legendary enemies to keep the health bar low at like lvl 500+ when it's a chore to do that crap all over again.

but yeah it sucks. Everything is irradiated. Most things got resistances. It'd be good if they could do the opposite effect and work against robots (emp) and synths OR irradiated stuff (it removes it or something). So any glowing creature would be made easier to kill

I don't use it because a lot of enemies are immune to radiation. I like to just carry two weapons and use the rest of the capacity to carry a lot of junks

But it wrecks havoc on those who are not.

I had no issues using the Radium rifle ( Kiloton from Children of Atom. ) with a Commando build. Like any weapon, it needs to be modded to reduce the recoil.

And what are these two weapons?Lemme guess, it's grenade/nuke launcher and some auto otlr semi-auto rifle?

After all modifications it still has too high recoil which makes it almost useless

Well, then do not use them. I have no issues using them as a Commando build. Not much else I can say if you have modded them to reduce the recoil.

And I rarely use Vats with range weapons.

But the best automatic rifle in the game for a Commando build is the Problem Solver or the Splatter Cannon. Basically the same weapon. The legendary effect for those two is exceptionally good for automatics.

I have a short range weapon used with VATS and a medium range bread and butter weapon that I manual aim with. The exact weapons don't matter. I rotate weapons so that I don't exhaust ammos. My character is commando build. Sometimes I use 300-400 bullets in one mission. That happens a lot if there is a boss type of enemy
But the bread and butter weapon is an automatic rifle with a short scope. I switch among laser, overseer guardian, assault, railroad rifle, and plasma weapons. Among them, the best is assault rifle. I store away the nukaworld DLC weapons because those are too OP.

Use Spray'n Pray. The explosive effect grants a small AoE. The radiation effect sucks anyways.
