Can I Remap The Console Button?
Like the title says i am wanting to remap the console button as i am left handed and i use p l ; ' as my directional keys instead of the usual wasd. Is there a way to do this in the config files or am i basically unable to play this anymore?

For those that may wonder why i have like 200+ hours already and am only asking about it now, the reason why is below.

I used to play right handed mouse but i decided about a year ago to use my dominant hand for mouse control as obviously this will improve my aim, which it has, and i have not played this game since the switch.

So. Is this possible?

The easiest solution is to use F4SE. http://f4se.silverlock.org/

When you use F4SE you need to place the exe file and the two dll files into your game directory (whereevr your Fallout4.exe file is) and then copy the file called CustomControlMap.txt to your Fallout 4\Data\F4SE folder.

You open CustomControlMap.txt in your favourite text editor and find the line that looks like this

Console 0xc0 0xff 0xff 1 1 0 0x10

You then need to replace 0xc0 (or what ever is there) with the VK_OEM code for the key you wish to use.
This link should help you find the one you want.

http://www.kbdedit.com/manual/low_level_vk_list.html

For example I use a United Kingdom Keyboard and in all previous Bethesda Fallout games and Skyrim, the tilde key was the key for the console commands this key is located to the left of the number one key.

By trial and error I found that the VK_OEM code for that key is 0xDF

You may need to play with it until you find the right one for you. If anyone is worried about messing up their system don't.

If you want to go back to the original key binding then simply copy/paste the CustomControlMap.txt from the instal folder to the Fallout 4\Data\F4SE folder and overwrite the one you have been editing.

I hope this helps.

Thanks very much. I did not do the stated way but i did look in the link to the discussion board and realised an easy fix. I just change my keyboard settings to US when i play and it works. So thanks for that, much appreciated.
