Expand build area in Jamaica Plain?
I have FO4 on the PC. Is there a mod which will expand the build area in Jamaica Plain? Specifically I'd like to add more turrets in areas I currently cannot build in. I'm not too concerned with build limits, but I'd like to place items outside the normal build area.

Thanks!

Jamaica Plains Expansion is probably the original and is up to V3, I'd suggest that one simply because it's rock solid and and very basic, does exactly what you want, but again, there are many: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/search/?gsearch=jamaica+plains&gsearchtype=mods&tab=mods

There's also one called Annex the Commonwealth that lots of people love, does this for almost every settlement minus 3 I think... it's quite cool. It's for those that want "more" but still want to (mostly) DIY and feel very vanilla FO4. (as opposed to something like SimSettlements which is so involved it has it's own mods, some people find it intimidating and it changes the game into something else they don't really want. I love it! But I can see why it's not everyone's flavour of Nuka-Cola)

You do know the increasing build limits trick about dropping stuff then going into workshop mode and moving it to the workshop storage? Anything removed from the area, even things you just temporarily drop, are subtracted from the occupied space array... be warned, you can grossly overflow the variables though, which is why people freak out when they add 100k of all 31 materials and then only see about 1/3rd of them when they leave that zone and return, or add 50k or each and see 2/3rd of them, etc. The game can get glitchy for that zone, but hey at least it's compartmentalized if you blow it up too much.

Have fun!
edit: messed up a closing [ /b ] tag.

There area few ways to do that. One is to use a mod that allows objects to be built outside the borders for all settlements.

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12099?tab=description

Another is to use a mod to extend the borders of an individual settlement. Nexus should have a few choices.

There's also Place Everywhere. Doesn't expand settlements, but whatever you build inside your settlement can be picked up and taken outside the settlement borders and placed where you want, and to better achieve this it also allows you to completely turn off the timeout when going outside the border in workshop mode. So you could, if you wanted, enter workshop mode and go all over the map with no timeout.

You don't need mods you can do it with console commands, there was a tutorial somewhere, need to enlarge number of triangles and build points. But if I were you, I'd write down the original numbers first for future reference.

Not what the OP was asking.

There is a bunch of mods that expand the build areas of the settlements. Most of them are for each settlement individually. Use the word "expand" in the search bar on Nexus.

I use the '' Homemaker Expanded Settlements mod '' , It expands Sanctuary at least 5 times over . Hangman'e Alley around 3 times over and the other settlements by around half there size again .

Lol, Homemaker Expanded Settlements does NOT increase the build area. It only gives you a lot more stuff to build.

Try reading the mod page before you post misleading information.

yeah some spots always bothered me.
But for Jamiacan plains just get the build anywhere and build upwards.

My Bad , this is what happens When you live in an area in Australia where the population vastly Aboriginal and they use own native tongue . Also what happens when you have over 600 mods in my mod manager and you get my age you can't always remember what mod does what .

I saw a video on this but it looked very time-consuming, so that's why I asked for a mod. I guess I"m a bit lazy, I mean focused on efficiency. :) Thanks though.

Thanks! This one for Jamaica Plain looks like what I want. Putting turrets on the house next to the church would cover a main spawn point. Oh wow, it's only 6KB too.

I'll maybe look at Annex the Commonwealth a bit later too. :)

You can not change the build area with console commands. He assumed you meant build limit, which you specifically said you were not wanting to do.

Although if you expand the build area of some settlements you will have to increase the build limits because you are unceasing the amount of items within the settlement border.
