I find it quite humorous how people are acting as if everyone knew that Arkham Knight had been farmed out. Nobody knew that, and the reason that nobody knew that is, because the Publisher saw fit not to disclose that information. The only reason anybody knows about the game having been farmed out is that the studio contracted to do the work put itself in the games credits. If it hadn't we still probably wouldn't know who to blame for what.

The reality is that you should only put so much trust in a developer, because it is becoming far more common for developers to farm work out to small studios. Take the credit, and help itself to the payday. Which is exactly what happened with Gearbox and Aliens Colonial Marienes. The developer got paid to make the game. They in turn took the money, subcontracted the work out, and preceded to pocket the rest.

Do some people here not appreciate the reality that a lot of people who rooted for such games in the past said exactly the same thing they are saying right now. How is it any different then them placing their faith in Rocksteady or Gearbox. Hope for the best, plan for the worst, and have one if not two exit strategies in place. In other words don't place all your hopes on this game being the game you will be playing this holiday season.

Setting aside the fact that games get delayed all of the time. Games do get farmed out, and yes some games launch with game breaking bugs, and before you say that ain't Bethesda. They are not the parent company, and the parent company sold me a game last year that ended up being just as bad as the Arkham Knight, actually worse at least you can play Batman. That game just wouldn't let you play for days on end.

Zenimax being involved is reason enough for extreme caution.

You’d have though that at some point in those 7 years someone would have said “Hold on, this game is ♥♥♥♥♥.”

Well said, developers and especially publishers are profit driven entities and will always put money above all else. Saying “I trust [inset developer name here]” is a very naïve statement. Look at Egosoft; a very customer orientated developer with a great reputation then they deceive their fans and happily take pre-order of XRebirth before releasing it in a woefully unfinished state.

Fallout 3 was in development for around 4 years and it was barely functional when it was released. Fallout 4 is running on a slightly enhanced version of the Gamebryo engine, so yes it will be infested with bugs. Doesn't really help that Bethesda is pretty lazy when it comes to PC optimization.

Fallout 3 was pretty functional on release day for me. However, I recently upgraded to a 1440p 144hz monitor. I now realize that game did not like anything above 60hz refresh.

i have never had problems with Bethesda games directly after release. As the posters above say, the game was developed by a single studio over a rather long period of time. I would be shocked if it had anything but the tiniest of bugs. Gnat size. But i have played all Bethesda games on console first, so that might have something to do with my good luck.

the settlement option of FO4 reminds some of us of minecraft. If you have kids or a woman in your life, minecraft is a good game to have. My two 10 year old daughters play it, as do i. It makes the freedom of Fallout games look like slavery. Everything in the world, everything, can be manipulated. Some of us minecraft fans are hoping that Todd Howard isn't boasting when he compares FO4 settlement building to minecraft.

im pretty much friendless offline so im pretty much a worthless loser
Vinnie Mack 19/ago./2015 às 9:51
man, don't say ♥♥♥♥ like that. You might start believing it. And don't let anyone define you. Define yourself. That isn't just me speaking, some random stranger on a game forum, that is TonyRobbins talking. And when Tony Robbins talks, everyone should listen.

But seriously, if you have an issue with your life, do something about it. Read some motivational books, decide who you will be, start being that person.

Or was that a joke or you were just looking for sympathy?
