Console command to span Abernathy farm locket?

I ran into a bug - it seems the Abernathy farm locket never spawned for me. I was playing with Sim Settlements 2. However, the actually problem likely was caused by clearing out Sat Olivia first, and before I actually did the convo with Preston to actually "refound the minutemen". Or I've seen the bug reported elsewhere.

Weird random side event: Super Mutant with a nuke grenade decide to charge thw Abernathy farm and blew up the cow... and nothing else. :)

Anyway, is there a way to spawn the locket needed for the Abernathy quest via console?

Did you actually GET the locket when you cleared the location? Because it should be in the same toolbox regardless of the state of the quest.

If you had it on you when given the quest, it will give the correct dialog.

Check your quest status,

getstage Minrecruit03

Check it against the chart on this page,

But do check the notes and bug report on that page too. Only you know what dialog options you've got here, so whether it's bugged to hell or just bugged to heck, ... who knows. If you've got the quest and it throws something between 100 and 200, boost it to 200 using setstage minrecruit03.

If you do not have that quest, I dunno what to tell you because I don't use ss2 and don't know whether that does have anything to do with it. But if you already talked to him and declined to do the quest you cannot have that settlement at all unless you 'fix' it with console commands too, a slippery slope at best.

That's just business as usual, happens all the time. Lucy Abernathy even has lines for this, if you start the conversation with her after Supermuties killed the cat and cow.

The locket should respawn as soon as the raiders respawn at the Olivia Station, try to wait it out before you mess up your game with console commands.

Make sure you have it in your inventory. That means don't craft anything with silver or drop it in the workshop.

I did check to see if the locket spawned after the area reset and did not locate it. I also checked every junk box / workshop and didn't see any locket there. However, it sounds as though it's marked only as junk even though it's a quest item? It's possible that the game used it if I crafted a reflex sight and I have no idea if I did. (Seriously, why did Beths set this up that way?!)

I'll try resetting the quest first.

There are more quest items that work like this. The Hallucigen gas tank can be scrapped or accidentially used to repair your power armor, or craft a stimpack, but it is also a quest item for a sidequest in Goodneighbor.

Edit: Try to spawn a basic silver locket, maybe it works.

If anyone has this issue in the future, I was able to finish the quest by using first:

player.additem 00199043 1

However, the quest didn't update properly (so maybe there was some other bug. I was abel to advance the quest using Setstage Minrecruit03 200. Then I could finish by talking to Papa Abernathy. Everything looks good now.

You generally don't even need to spawn the locket if you move the stage forward that way, but hopefully this won't cause issues down the line for you. Always do this as a last resort, and never skip ahead or use noclip to get into places that the game has gated with quest armor. That will make it just a little more likely to break.
