Since there's no info released that suggests FO4 *even has* a repair system, what exactly is there to be discussed?
I'm not sure how you got to this - When I played, even on Hardcore, I was swimming in gear and money within a couple of hours.
I installed a mod or two specifically to cut down on the amount of loot and money found.
Mate go play another game.
Repairing in fallout is literally *literally* the most easy part of the game.
I don't think i've had a playthrough for years where my main weapons weren't at %100 constantly.
If you keep switching out your weapons every time you pick up a new one of course you're stuffs gonna be broken all the time.
But, why would I trash a similar weapon to repair a weapon? Doesn't make sense.
If people wouldn't melee often, they would have complain about the repair system. The cost of repairing was aweful. Repair skill mod allows lowering degrading weapon based on Repair skill. Should be something to implement in Fallout 4?
No, why would I want to trash a 100 bottlecaps gun giving 50%+ repair in Jury Rig? You don't seems to understand or appreciate the Repair system balance. I know about Jury Rig. It is a dumb Repair perk.
In KRON's case, it is cheaper and more effective to buy or craft a Weapon Repair kit that is worth 100+ bottlecap and do 80-90% repair. You even get 10% bonus if you have Wrench in your personal inventory. The part to make Weapon Repair kit is about 20-30 bottlecaps depending on Barter skill.
Come on guys! think and brainstorm!
In Fallout 4, this Repair system is now changed. I don't think weapon will ever wear out.
What?.. Who the hell cares about 100 caps by the time you get jury rigger?
It's a totally game breaking, over the top skill that turns you into a money printer on the spot.
Who in their right mind is going to burn up all the scrap in the land to make weapon repair kits over a couple of caps that you will have no use for anyway?
Repair a Supersledge with a poolstick and make 4000 caps in one hit.. It's just crazy.
On a side note.
There should be a notoriety system of some kind going on.. Like if you have a shack loaded out with some stupid amount of treasure in a land full of people with nothing, someone should notice. There should be people looking to take you out and rob you blind or something. Some kind of reaction to the fact you seem to own enough weaponry to supply an army..
The Brotherhood should be kicking your tin door down as they find out you have more energy weapons than they do.
They should make it so you had a use for all those guns beside turning them into a mountain of caps you will never spend.. Like giving weapons and ammo to settlements, traders, factions.. Either to assist or to supply an enemy of my enemy. Something like that.
yep, most unbalanced perk in New Vegas.
JR = infinite money at level 14 (so implants + ammo + GRA stuff...). It only requieres a little of method and preparation (dont sell any looted crappy guns/clothes, stock them). With some time and patience, the game is broken at this point.
Fallout: Tactics was already made.
Hey! a group of assassin! I hope they brings the most expensive toys *wink* *wink*
