And you have to be Albert Einstein's smarter brother to be able mod it.
OP is right, combat rifle is the no brainer all around weapon. If I could only have one weapon (ignoring uniques/legendaries) it would have to be a combat rifle.
True. But, a rare occurrence, Handmade rifles do drop in the Commonwealth if you have the DLC. But no merchant sells the ammo in the Commonwealth. :P Another dumb design.
Lol. Yeah. I have had some nice legendary Handmade weapons drop when I was not that high of a level and I had the frustrating thought. But never had one drop with a really good legendary effect, like the one The Problem Solver has.
Think how it would feel if a Two Shot Handmade Rifle dropped at say...even level 20. Not going to be able to run the Gauntlet at level 20 on Very Hard or Survival.
( Now that I have posted that, do not be surprised if someone posts, they have. :P My reaction would be to roll my eyes. )
theres no problem the tommy gun cant solve
sidearms are good for small targets in close range. shotgun is the counterpart for strong enemies in the same range.
snipers .308 and .50 cals are the best in long range.
Voila, a 5.56 mm AKMoid.
