P.A.M security mode? Bug?
So I did a mission for the railroad and it asks me to turn it in at P.A.M and she just keeps saying Security mode enabled and will not talk to me? is this a bug? I've done nothing but side with the railroad thus far. The mission that she got stuck on is Variable removal: university point

Having the "Tactical Thinking" quest in your log causes this even if you haven't talked to Kells at all.

If anyone knows how to undo this, please add to the discussion.

failing the quest seems to work

Cool. how do you do that without the railroad becoming hostile?
Cromley Nov 20, 2015 @ 5:23am
By siding with the railroad and becomeing hostille to the brotherhood Via main questline

So just do main quests til ♥♥♥♥ hits the fan and pick the right side? Okay. Gotcha.

Exactly

You can reset "Tactical Thinking" and make P.A.M. available again by using the console and enter "resetquest BoS302B"

I did this and now the quest for the brotherhood is broken. Whenever I talk Captain Kells he just wants me to train Squires and doesn't actually talk about the quest.
Any way to fix this. I forgot to make a save before I used the code thinking it wouldn't be a problem. I was wrong and now I'm kinda screwed.

Try the command setstage BoS302B 10,it should take you back to the mission

So I had the same problem and tried this. Resetting the quest works to activate P.A.M. again, and I did some quests for RailRoad untill I got the Weave. On returning to Cpt Kells, I tried the setstage-command but it didn't work (I think it should be setstage BoS302B 1, but I've tried both, and more).

Problem seems to be that the quest "Tactical Thinking" is nowhere to be found in Questlog. Upon reloading the save right after using the first cmd (resetquest), "Tactical Thinking" is still in my questlog. So somewhere between doing missions for RR & getting the Weave, quest has disappeared.

This is actually pretty annoying. I think I'm just gonna load my old save (no changes to quests via command), and use the command "set RailroadClothingArmorModAvailable to 1". This will simply give me the option to craft it without f*cking up questlines, which were already a mess in my case :)

Just tried the reset quest command and sure enough it glitched the Brotherhood side. Setstage does absolutely nothing as well. This sucks.

Turns out the reason why setstage doesn't work after resetting the quest is because "Tactical Thinking" is flagged to only run once in the game files. Unless you know how to make plugin files on Fo4Edit, the safest thing to do would be to use the "set railroadclothingarmormodavailable to 1" command to unlock the ballistic weave mods.

If you kill BOS for Railroad while "Tactical Thinking"is active, P.A.M will say "Agent Error, Variable reset based on ??? ?????" later and Security Mode is disabled and you can proceed...

Actually, what you suggeseted what pretty easy. Writing out a quick guide on how I did it.
1. Google Fo4Edit, download and extract.
2. Rename TES5Edit to Fo4Edit.
3. Find Quest, then find 107a1c.
4. Right click on 107a1c, and then click "Copy as Override to". Say yes to the warning.
5. Select new file, name it to whatever you want. Hit yes to continue.
6. Right hand side should be highlighted a light green with two columns, one for the original game files and one for the mod that you are creating. Find DNAM-General, there should be a flag for Run Once. For the mod that you named, right click and hit edit. Uncheck Run Once. Hit OK.
7. Ctrl+s to save it. Make sure the box is checked and hit Ok.
8. Make sure that at the bottom of messages page that you are brought to, the bottom confirms that it has saved.
9. ESP file should be generated. I personally used Nexusmods and enabled my mod there.
10. Done. Resetquest, and setstage 10 and the quest should be good to go.
