deathclaws got nerfed to oblivion?

Sawed of shotgun VS legendeary deathclaw, 3 hits for the head in vats and he is dead as long as you got a crit saved up :I

i dunno, but i've been doing it forever, since early game, i also have beaten several deathclaws to death with powerfist when i was lvl15 ish, they are noway NEAR as hard as they were in FNV

I recently switched from normal to VH because the game was too easy. Two shots with my 153 dmg combat shotgun would kill a death claw. Was a bit stupid. Now? They are quite frightening. I still find it amusing to cripple their legs and watch as they try to claw me though. Were they nerfed? No, they are stronger now. Are there less of them? I don't see many together like I did in NV, which is a pity. However, in NV? I also sniper them from a distance with a hunting rifle...on Hardcore mode with no worries what so ever. These are harder.

I had a hell of a time killing the first one in that first town. Playing on normal and with
the suit he still gutted me like 4 times before I managed to come up with plan
to kill it dead. Involved the use of drugs and not getting stuck on crap as I backed up
in terror and not slipping on my own pee.

I've yet to bump into another.

well ... powerfist + Powerarmor is very strong - you get a melee perk and can mod nearly every part of Powerarmor to deal more damage with fists..
