Mass Fusion quest glitch *SPOILERS*

I've been on the Mass Fusion quest for a while now and I can't, for the life of me, get this quest to progress. I told Allie that I didn't need her to come with me because I didn't need her, now the quest won't progress. I'd like to support the Institute in this but the marker is pointing to the elevator and nothing else (when i use the elevator, the marker doesn't move with it, just stays at ground level). Allie and Father won't talk to me either.

Head downstairs to speak with Allie about the mission Father is sending you on. She will tell you of the plan, to get a special item that will help them get the Nuclear Reactor going quicker.

Head to the Relay, as you can't fast travel out. To get to the Relay use an elevator that is marked on your HUD (inside the institute base). Get to the top floor by the elevator - explore a bit and you'll find Relay there.

When you get there, the game warns you that this decision will make you a permanent enemy of the Brotherhood of Steel. So finish any quests for them before proceeding.

I get an everlasting load screen whenever I enter the elevator in the Brotherhood quest.

I'm getting the same thing as the OP. Allie was outside the elevator, I spoke to her and she just walked of. I chose to have her with me for the mission. Did anyone find a fix?

I've got a huge glitch on my hands.

I've done everything right so far, but when I get down to the bottom floor where you escape,
infinite enemies and ally keep spawning
(I'm working for the Railroad, trying to overthrow Institute )
When I leave though, there is a marker outside the building that will not do anything when i am near it. No quests, no completion, and Cosdworth keeps yelling like he's fighting. Allie will also not say anything to advance the quest.
I am playing on Xbox One, with mods installed.
Help?

I honestly gave up on Fallout 4 shortly after i made this post and picked it back up not too long afterwards. And my problem was fixed. I did uninstall it though to save space for other stuff. That's the only fix I can think of so you'll probably have to do extensive jotting down of all mods and make sure theyre installed in whatever way you did it, load order and all, and retry it at an earlier save, preferrably as close to the outside of the building as possible in order to give the game time to settle in and hopefully fix itself.

I went back to my save point from hours ago (3) before I did the quest and I didnt have the girl come with me
