Giving Shaun a Bioscanner is broken?

after i defeated the BoS i met up with the synth child ("shaun") and he asks for a biometric scanner, so i gave him one and he implies that he made something with it and its implied you get something for it. He doesn't actually give me anything at all I've tried reloading my game several times to see if it was a one time bug but he never gives me anything sometimes he just accepts the biometric scanner and says he'll make something but even if i wait 24Hrs he doesn't give me an item. Has anyone got the item from him?

Same problem here, gave him the Scanner, runs through the Dialog, and nothing is recieved.

Gotta give it to him THEN wait 24 hours(FULLY) and then talk to him.Then do another Junk Collection quest then after that he gives you what he made(Free Weapon Mods.And later a free Wazer Wifle)
