Is it just me or is Starlight Drive-In a useless settlement?
It's, like, 95% concrete, with a single small pool of water in the center.
The hell are we supposed to do with that?

Try scraping the radiation barrels and putting a water purifier in it?
Killzone Nov 17, 2015 @ 7:36pm
You can plant enough food, use a pump on the water, send a supply line to it. Its one of my most built up settlements.

u can grow stuff next tot the cafe. i dunno, maybe shops for coins? Strip club? Zoo? Both?

it has a large (relatively) flat (relatively) area to build on. good source of water and plenty of room for crops, too.

I've set it up to be the primary supply link for all my settlements. Everything moves though the Drive-In.

Considering it's right across the street from a drug pusher and junk merchant, it's a pretty good location. It also has the pond you can purify for a good purified water supply. It's also pretty much the only location that is FLAT so building isn't a ♥♥♥♥♥. And that huge theater background makes it so you only need to wall of 3 sides of the area.

Build you trade town there and use supply lines to bring in food from other settlements. (Requires Charisma 6.12 perks)

hrmm... yea it would be a good settlement for black jack and hookers.... in fact forget the settlement.

Actually I agree, the drive-in is the worst. I built two houses for the people that decided to live there, all of a sudden they're unhappy and saying they don't have enough food or beds. So I go back, build some more beds and plant some more food... then discovered the problem was that small radioactive pond in the middle of the settlement. There were 3 dead brahmin next to the pond that weren't there before, then I noticed that getting close to it gives you a HUGE dose of radiation, I saw as high as +16 per second. So these brahmin got too close and the radiation killed them. Then I noticed that the idiots living there would ALSO get way too close to the pond and would get stuck in an endless cycle of going down (like your followers do when they run out of health) and then getting back up... meanwhile they're not working any crops, or going inside to lay down and sleep. Very problematic settlement, I might just send all the people elsewhere until Bethsoft fixes this. That radioactive pond in the middle of the place is way too radioactive for starters... I wouldn't mind if they got rid of that pond and just made it a huge flat/level parking lot that you can actually build stuff on, and it's not suspended in the air.

lol wat, this is my favorite spot so far. It's relatively flat and the water in the middle means I can spam it with water purifiers rather than wasting the remaining soil for water pumps. I have 17 settlers atm there.

I'm not investing much in Starlight Drive-in purely due to it being a geographical nightmare as a defensive position. I don't know how far you're into the Minutemen quest, but eventually you'll arrive at the place where it's the very definition of a stronghold.

Remove the barrels out of the pond and the radiation goes away...

Are you talking about Covenant?

I haven't gotten supplier (or gotten into dedicated settlement building yet) but something like that to limk every settlement, if that works, seems like a good idea.

I've mostly decided to make the Red Rocket near Sanctuary a waiting companion clubhouse. Zero water. Zero Food.

Keeping the growing collection of stray power armor frames found roaming the map (with cores removed) in the Garage until that becomes too crowded for even that.

You can't supply line weapons, armor, or power armor parts after all. Only junk and components. So may as well have a nice out of the way storage spot in the early game for PA and avoid making your own "OMG Settlers stole my power armor!"

you can scrap the barrels, and put in a water purifyer, no more radiation and + 10-40 water depending which one you build
