Cleansing the Commonwealth bug ***FIXED***

There's a couple ways Cleansing the Commonwealth can get bugged out and uncompletable. Open the console with tildae ` and then type this in to fix it.

setstage BoSR01 40

You can now turn the quest in to Rhys with no more problems.

It doesn't lock the achievements,
i've checked that by getting an achievement after using this command on the console

Console use does NOT lock achievements in fallout 4.
It did lock achievements (for that game session only) in New Vegas.

Ive tried but unfortunately,

it says "item 'BoSR40' not found for parameter quest"

I dont know what to do.

Maybe I should just move on without arguing with Not responding NPCs.

By the way, in case of finishing the first whole game and start over,

can I get all the golds, items, level, and even power armour from the start?

If you finish a game (all main quests) you can keep playing or start a new character. The saves will stay there unless you delete them but you can't keep the same stuff from your first playthrough or subsequent playthroughs. Although, you can use the console and cheat but i personally find that boring.

Thanks guys. BoSR01 40 worked fine for me. Also, I read somewhere that you have to be in the Police Station for the command to work, so anyone having trouble should probably try that.. I didn't have to be there, I was in Sanctuary.

Beta patch released on 2/22/2016 fixed this for me. Had been stuck for weeks and nothing would allow me to complete these quests. Loaded the new patch and all in good. So - for PC just grab the Beta patch and consoles - know the fix is coming.
