Defend the Castle Bug

I'm following the minuteman faction and when the quest starts some institute synths appears but after completing 30% of the quest the synths disappear and I can't continue the mission. someone can help me?

All the defend quests are random timed events, I had the defend the castle one pop up while I was in the middle of a important quest with Nick Valentine that I couldn't leave (it involved following dogmeat, to keep it spoiler free as possible) so I ignored it. I got a pop up that it failed.

But when I went to the castle all my settlers were fine. So I wouldn't worry about it.

The defend the castle quest i'm talking about is the main storyline quest....

I got a defend the castle quest (must be radient? ive completed the game) and it gets stuck at 80% defended. the BoS is attacking me and they won't spawn. pretty annoying.

I didn't end up finding one. I just created a fresh save unfortunatly.

That sucks and it's not like I can spawn a synth in because I'm on console because my computer can't run it. :/ I am a peasant.

The castle is bugged, I had a CTD on it after my first attack and after I either walked torward it or fast traveled to it after that it will instant CTD

If anyone is till here, I ended up typing ResetQuest bdb04 or CompleteQuest bdb04 into the console. I randomly got the defend the castle quest a second time, after beating the game, and it got stuck at 80%. Enemies wouldn't move either. They weren't agro'd.

Hi,

I find a solution to "fix" it in PC. I use these commands :

setstage 000bdb04 450
setstage 000dfb3c 580

The first line is to validate the quest "Defend the Castle". The second line is to validate the objective "Defend the castle" of the quest "With Our Powers Combined"

In fact, you can use these commands to validate any objective of any quest.

If you are attacked by the synths look around, either the brotherhood of steel's vertibird is attacking them which wont raise the percentage or they got stuck somewhere and you gotta look for them

If you've already "won" the game, and this happens when you get the "Defend The Castle" quest, if it gets stuck at like 80% or 90% just open the console and type: completequest MinDefendCastle

I also encountered the same bug. Stuck at 10%. Quest marker is stuck on Ronnie with no progressive options, can only barter. HOWEVER: Try entering THE CASTLE TUNNELS and then immediately leaving them. THIS WORKED FOR ME. The castle tunnels are located in one of the 3 main rooms within the castle walls. This is the same tunnel used to unlock the castle armory earlier in the game. Hope this helps.
