My companions dislike my power armor?

I recently upgraded my power armor from T-45 to T-60 (Minuiteman paint to Paladin paint as well if that matters), but the first time I hopped into it, Codsworth, who was nearby disliked that.

I also have Piper as my traveling companion, and while she didn't say anything when I got into the armor in the first place, after I talked with her normally ("anything on your mind"), she replied in a normal way, but the game stated that "Piper disliked that"

Anyone else having this happen?

What might be happening: Spoilers... I just finished taking down the railroad a few minutes earier. Piper surprisingly didn't dislike the fact that I helped the BOS massacre the railroad. Is there a chance her 'dislike' is just catching up now?

Update:

Talked to Piper the same way before I put on my power armor and though she still expressed regret over what we just did (see spoiler section ok), it didn't generate any dislike.

Was the frame stolen? Maybe Piper and Codsworth hate the BOS (Since you put Paladin paint) they didnt like it once you entered it. Since Codsworth is technology and Piper wants to help everyone in the CW or something and the BOS want to take all technology from everyone.

Codsworth dislike everything. Thats just his style.

the same thing happened to me, but it wasn't with power armor, and it happened with ALL my companions (except dogmeat) and some of them weren't even close. i was talking to mama in sanctuary and i said something, actually, i think i gave her something, i can't remember, i was speeding through the conversation, constantly hitting down arrow (usually that's the best choice to choose in dialogue, with the exception of other things). then when i finished, it said "Preston disliked that. Codsworth disliked that. Valentine disliked that. Piper disliked that. Danse disliked that." LIKE WHAT DID I DO? i just thought to myself, like, seriously, i honest to go have no clue what happened.

The frame itself was my original armor from the start of the game with pieced over T-60 pieces. But I think Piper MUST dislike the BOS since she started bad-talking it once I put on the armor, but didn't generate any dislike this time.

You agreed to give her chems/drugs which is killing her in order to benefit you by getting her the sight (precognition). Basically, you're poisoning and killing an old woman with drugs, nobody likes you for that.
