I am a south paw and I need to be able to use Number Pad keys for jump and reload and I get reserved keys message when trying to bind 0 key and 1 key. When I hit the 0 key now, it gives me a stimpack and I have no way to change this. SUCKS already! All keys need to be able to custom bind. To jump I must take my hand off the mouse to use SPACE bar . BOGUS Y ou would think that after 20 years of PC gaming devs would have customized key bindings by now!

I feel your pain, man, I really do. I do almost everything else left-handed except gaming. And...archery for some reason.

I feel the best thing to do would try to acclamate to right-handed play. There's a lot of games that I can see this sorta thing happening to you on.

Maybe someone might make a mod though.

Use autohotkey and it'll fix all your problems. Well, most of them.

You could change the stimpack fav setting to another key, that might solve part of your problem at least. just select stimpacks in your inventory, hit Q i think it is and then select a different number.

I have this exact same issue. I hate when you don't get full customisation for keys in games. I find the odd one that doesn't let me use Enter for looting/activate in games. This one is the worst in a long time. I also use 0 and 1 a lot in the game, but it's sprint and jump. Auto Hot Key can be a workaround, but it means you can't type on the keyboard properly during its running.

With 12mill copies sold and Steam peaking at only 400+k players, you could probably make that 1mil Steam copies but only 400k online at a time.
With 11% of players being lefties, only say 110k of 12million copies, Bethesda dun give a flying ♥♥♥ bout us. We'll have to make do until a mod gets made or they fix it, which they usually do about a week after I finish playing the game.

You can still type if you make a good enough script. One that's only in affect while Fallout 4 is the active window. Not sure how you do this, but I know it's possible, shouldn't be too hard to google.

you can get a programmable keyboard that allows key settings for indiviual games.

change the arrow keys to awsd.


i know it isn't ideal, but it is a solution.

i'm left handed , i use a steelseries fang gamepad , all the keys are changeable , can create game specific profiles , works great , been using it for about ten years , it's never broken ,i just give it good cleaning a couple of times a year

Takes to long to use keys on left side of keyboard. Left hand on Mouse. I use arrow keys for movement with right hand, left hand STAYS on mouse, should not have to let go of mouse EVER.

huh, maybe I play video games right handed. idk. I've honestly never seen someone hold the mouse with their left hand

I think you misunderstood him.. You can just use your right hand for WASD, is what he's saying, I'm pretty sure. Which means your hand never would leave your mouse

R has been dedicated to 2 uses, Reload and Transfer of inventory?? Why would they do that??? WTF I cannot find how to unbind 0 as stimpack. I think I will just wait for all the bugs and complaints to be LOGICALLY addressed, before I play it! $100 just going to sit here!

do a search for "custom controls guide" in this forum, has a guide on how to fix it.
