Quest "The Molecular Level" buged

I've placed all the components and everything is powered. The quest log tells me to talk to Elder Maxon and Power up the signal interceptor, but when i interact with maxon he tells me that he's busy

I have the same bug, even using the console to complete that stage of the quest didn't fix it. So far the only fix I have is to start a new game :/

i'm 30 hours into the game so i'd rather not start again :/

Yeah I'm like 60ish into it. I did the main quest more or less last because I didn't give a crap about the kid but I had the Minutemen quest bug out too so I couldn't continue that one either.

I've just stopped playing it in the hopes it gets sorted out at some point.

I mananged fix it. Try storing all the components and restarting the game

this is why you should always save before you start a quest

Try disconnecting all the parts of the teleportation device then reconnecting them. Maxon talked to me right after I did it.
