What are 2mm Electromagnetic Cartridges used for?

My guess, gauss rifle. It makes sense.

The Gauss rifle,one of the strongest weapons in the game.

It accelerates a 2mm metal projectile to relativistic speeds.

As other's have said, the Gauss Rifle. It's a really powerful weapon to be sure, but the ammo is too scarce/expensive for me to justify using it on a normal basis.

I have run into these a lot. Not sure why you say they are rare. I started picking them up but after awhile I found no use for them so I have been just passing them up. They are all over the place.

They are rare early on. Much less so after level 30ish.
