only 20 settlers max at any settlement.
Now, this is just stupid. Sanctuary is a really large settlement. Also you only get 10 settlers and an additional 10 more if you have 10 charisma (my cap is 19 with charisma gear).

That is so lame. There's so much space left in sanctuary.

I hope these numbers are placeholder because there should be way more npc in sanctuary and it definitely shouldn't be based on your charisma level. This is a really stupid design from bethesda.

It should be based on settlement size. Some are quite small, some are quite large. Having it capped based on charisma makes little sense to me.

I beleive there is already a mod out that removes some of these limitations
Joxer Nov 17, 2015 @ 3:47am
even without a mod you can get over 20 settlers, aint that hard.

I ended up putting everyone in a barracks-type shack (I wish there were more building options and that the walls and floors had no-clip...), but yeah I have so many empty buildings.

There are places larger than sanctuary btw...

How precisely?

while it is based on charisma its more based on the capabilities of the pcs.if you have a great rig you can prob remove the caps and add a few more without fps drops and crashes. but consoles laptops and low end pcs will never be able to do that.

I read somewhere you can unlock the cap when you get natural 10 charisma (bobbleheads count as natural, gear / drugs don't). So when you reach 10 charisma natural you can have more than 20.
I didn't test this but i believe it true, was a reliable source.

it's simple :
For instance lets say you have 10 people at Red Rocket.
20 at Santuary (maxed)
Now at Red Rocket, pop some drugs that enhance your Charisma, and start sending people to Sanctuary.

Didnt try it with "gear" yet.

the main issue is charisma if they would remove the charisma check for new settlers to move in you would be ok and just have to remember to turn that recuitment baecon off

I just checked nexus mods and there isn't a mod that increases settler amount.

Having this linked to your charisma level makes no sense to me. I figured the locations would have specific npc caps based on their size from playtesting, because some of them are actually pretty small. Having it linked to what your charisma is makes NO sense to me.

If anyone finds a mod for this, link plz.

Would there be a other way without cheats or mods?

With gear it works, I have 9 with gear and 19 settlers at sanctuary. I haven't tried with chems yet. I wonder if your charisma drops if they will leave or not.
