Novice Hack

So I was messing around with the console commands to be able to hack a terminal at expert level a few times. Now I can't even hack a novice terminal and when I try it comes up with the message that my hacker perk isn't a high enough level to hack it. I can't seem to fix it, no matter what I do.

Any ideas? I'm stuck on the Tradecraft quest at the stupid novice terminal, and am debating leaving the quest to switch my companion to Nicky Valentine so he can do it.

There are a few terminals and safes that list the wrong requirement. I've came up to a few Expert safes and it said I lacked the sufficient perk level, but when I increased it to Master and came back, it acted like a Master lock.

Thing is I've tried the console command to increase to Advanced/Expert/Master and I still can't seem to hack anything anymore, no matter what hack level I'm at.

When adding perks in console, be sure to add all ranks seperately. Adding say "Master" difficulty does not unlock "Expert" for example.

Otherwise idk why you can't use a Novice terminal.

This is why you save before you use console commands and revert to save if it messes up... sigh.

I added everything separately, I even tried removing the Advanced/Expert/Master levels to see if they did anything, but I still have nada. Even tried manually leveling up character and adding the perks that way, still nada. It was all working fine a while ago. I even tried the Unlock command, and while it says the terminal is unlocked, it is most definitely not.

It worked okay beforehand, until I got to the final door and had to reload as I needed Deacon to unlock the first master terminal (because it glitches the final door locks), so I let him do that first, and now I can't unlock this terminal.

Deacon give me a break here, man.

Remove all ranks of hacker, including the final one, then readd them in order. Thats what worked for me.

What CC were you testing? Is it player.removeall ? Cos this CC reset remove everything, includes pipboy & perks

remove each rank of the perk via their id's. readd them IN ORDER via player.addperk ########

Thanks, ive had the same issue for the past week and decided it wasn't important but thought to check out the boards today and this worked perfect. Now I can get into novice terminals again.
