Most Comfortable Scope?
I use reflex dot scope for my rifle shotgun and plazma rifle but i just upgraded to long recon scope for my sniper rifle and its kinda grey it tracks enemies but im not sure i enjoy it. What do you think is the most comfortable scope to use with sniper rifle? Normal long scope or maybe long night scope?

Apparently I havnt done enough Chemistry in highschool to learn how to build a long scope

The thing is to put the recon scope on a gun you don't use, tag the mobs with it, then switch to the sniper rifle.
Pretty sure the mobs stay tagged

Well im not bothered about the tagging honestly im just wondering which scope people like the most for sniping

I think ill change to normal scope from recon i dont like the grey shade

I just use the normal scope for actual sniping. I use VATS to locate the target and when you exit VATS you are still pointing at the the target. Then just regular old headshots with a normal scope. The recon scopes are a neat gimmick, but they are a little unwieldy. I usually keep two scoped rifles on me, one with a regular scope and one with a night vision scope, at least until I get the night vision perk.

supposedly recon scopes give you the highest accuracy in vats tho but i dont like actually sniping with them

I use the normal scope with the Recon Tagger in my PA if I actually bother to care.

Otherwise just normal scope. It's good enough for me.

I don't actually snipe in VATS, I just use it to find the target. I don't like the idea that you can miss in VATS unless your perception is perfect, and even then at an 90-95% of a chance to hit you can still miss, and with my luck (not the game Luck, just my personal luck) it misses more often than not. I'm a better shot with a normal scope than what VATS gives me :\

Well you do have sniper perks for vats i guess. Although i find that shooting a lot of enemies in the head is a bad idea but arm is better as heads in power armour for example or synth armour are very well armoured , hands not so much.

Really? Because I have yet to find an enemy that takes less damage from a head shot than a hand shot. I've been running around with semi auto pistols for the most part with reflex sights and a couple of headshots kills pretty much everything I've run into, even synths. The only enemies that take more than a couple of shots are behemoths, deathclaws, mirelurks, etc that have extremely high damage resistance, and even then they take more damage from headshots than limb shots. Although limb shots have their uses too because a crippling leg shot keeps them from running and an arm shot on their dominant arm keeps them from using weapons.

I always end up using the same weapon types in fallout games, mainly Sniper Rifles and then shotgun and High damage pistols at close range. for Sniper rifles i have 4 currently, 2 with Medium Scopes (1 Night vision) and 2 long scopes (1 Night Vision) i find the regular medium scope to be the one i use the most.

Yes really .
Hands are holding a weapon shooting at you.
Blowing off a hand usually kills them just as well or cripples them
Hands are easier to hit
Compare armour of power armour helmet with one of a hand , power armour head is much much more armoured significantly so, same goes for synth helmets compared to arms.
If your sniping normaly your better of shooting the head unless its power armour or death claw death claw weak spot is the unarmoured belly.
If your sniping in VATS hands are usually a better target for ghouls its legs.
I use recon on my revolver makes a nice mid range sniper lol
