What type of weapons should i use against synth

I haven't had issues with upgraded 10mm, .45 Combat Rifle, Shotgun, and/or Laser/Institute weapons?

There are many guns, but if you play on Hard or higher, you should be swimming in legendary gear. I have a max modified 10mm gun with + freezing damage and it kills everything faster than laser/plasma weapons. With gunshop stands in my settlements I can buy over 100 ammo quite cheap each time I go to store my junk. OP gun.

Automatic institute guns tend to fry them up very quickly, I gave one to my companion (the reporter from Diamond City) and sometimes she fries them up faster than I can aim at them.

I got an automatic shotgun, 80 pts per shot, with hollow point ammo. hollow points add bleeding damage to weapon's hit damage, so usually an additional 10-30 points bleed per shot. full auto lets me rock n roll on just about anything. HEHEHE.. Legendary Mirelurks and Deathclaws go down easily with about half a dozen or so shots. :)

remember! trigger control!!! short bursts with any good automatic weapon (high damage ones) is the way to go. just holding down the trigger sprays ammo all over and most of your shots hit nada but air. Short, controlled, burst fire is best. Unless, of course, you are using a sniper weapon.... then controlled, accurate, single shots, outside of targets awareness range is best.

A month old necro post I was about to say, but than I noticed it's 2015 lol
And people still play this game! Amazing.

And shoot with whatever you pumped perks into. Than it will kill. Otherwise nothing will work at all anyway. You can shower enemies with rockets or nukes and that'll do nothing but waste your time.

I'm still playingsince it came out. Still tons of stuff that I need to discover and do. This game can keep me for another few years. ;)
