Not that I have seen?

It looks like they opted to make "Fallout Weapons" vs. simple AR15/M16 & AK Varations like they did in previous games. Which is both kinda cool and kinda sad.

Dont think so. they werent in previous games either. They were "chinese assault rifles" lol

closest i can think of was the AK112 in fallout 1/2 (i think it was also ment for the chinese assault rifle..in F3)

They sacrificed quantity or weapons for the quality of customization.

But mods comrade...mods will fix everything...

Nah. As far as I've been able to find, there is an "Assault Rifle" that isn't AK style.

Maybe there is an AK style one stashed somewhere that people have not found yet? I know 10mm weapons only come in "10mm pistol" and "A Unique Named Gun" variety as far as people can tell so far, for example.

Honestly though, the only weapon I am dissapointed in so far is the "Submachine gun", because of it's statistics.

It is literally the only gun in fallout 4, where .45 ammo isn't stronger than .38 ammo. Why the **** is a proper real Tommy gun, only as strong damage wise as a PIPE GUN with an automatic reciver?

Sure, the SMG has better attachments, like a hilariously large drum. But a combat rifle with an auto reciver deals double the damage of an SMG, minimum (using the same ammo). Then gets even stronger by comparison. So it's hard to be impressed by a huge drum of ammo when you need that many bullets to dish out the same hurt as one with a fraction of it per mag.

There is not. Weapons are generic types this time, which can be modified to achieve a certain performance. You can, for example, turn the combat rifle into an automatic, a sniper rifle or a bajonetted single gun.
(The highest level mod for a weapon is not always the best, btw, especially when it comes to sighting devices.)

Specific weapons will have to be done by modders. Whoever made the 3-shot rhino gun for New Vegas, I hope he puts it into this one, too :)

Fast travel to DC...they're all over the place.

You won't find any Red Chinese tools of terror in Fallout 4, only... lewis guns?

If you want an AK-style weapon, a modded Combat Rifle would be your best bet OP. Automatic receiver, long barrel, full stock, and extended mag should do it.
Well I know I am very late to this post but there is a similar gun to the AK-47 called a hand made rifle. This is obtained from the Nuka-World DLC by killing one of the pack members for one (not ideal), buying one from the market in Nuka-World or receiving a legendary one from mason through threatening him during your introduction to him, which is a very powerful weapon. I hope that anyone revisiting this post finds this helpful

the only reason anybody'll be interested is because you dug up a 10 year old thread.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
