Steam Save Syncing takes forever?
I have horrible internet, my upload is less than 200kb/s, but for most other games the save syncing only takes a few seconds. Are the save files extremely big or is my hard disc just slow at reading and sending them? I mean if I crash and want to relaunch, it takes around 5 minutes to finish the save sync, and I'd rather not turn it off because of the save-deleting bug that's been going around (I have copies of saves on my HDD aswell). So, bottom line, are the save files really that large or is it my hard drive?

It Takes forever for me too and I have a faster internet. Example, If i close the program to switch from headfphones to speakers. It can take more then 10 min before I can start the game again.. Even if you dont go past the opening screen so there is nothing to sync in the first place.

normal internet connection, no problems what so ever, but at the moment the fallout 4 sync will take approx 10 years

just a guess, more savefiles, less space. 900 mb already in use, now only 1mb left and I'm at 9% file sync ^^

each save file is around 8MB in size
...clean the save folder out often.

I always just end up opening up the task manager, killing the steam process and relaunching.

I ended up disabling the cloud crap, no real reason to sync your saves to the steam cloud, especially when it takes so damn long, especially annoying on a game where you often have to restart it due to glitches etc.
