Do you? Really? I have never heard anyone pronounce the word as poh-tah-toe...ever. If that wasn't someone's grandma from an obscure part of the UK, I'd have to conclude that they were more pompous than I'd imagined possible.
Besides which, katana is a Japanese word for a Japanese sword. The weapon in this game, labeled as Chinese Sword, has absolutely nothing to do with a katana.
