Silver Shroud Bug - Can't Save Kent

I have been stuck on this for AGES! I can't save Kent, I go up to approch the BLOODY guy with the Silver Shroud costume on, I walk very slowly, and he starts the line of dialouge to get me into the negotiation, but then he starts the second line of dialouge, which is the one when he shoots Ken, I haven't even been able to hear the whole sentence of his first line of dialouge! I have watched video walkthroughs for saving Kent, and I think this is a bug. I have tried VATS, but it's not working, as I can never kill the two of them, I never have enough AP, and drugs won't help either, as I don't have enough! I have really shoddy weapon accuracy.

I really want to convince him, I am not sure if anyone else has come across this bug (if it is one), I have searched the internet, and I can't find any posts of articles about this. I really want to get through this quest with BLOODY KENT alive, please help! I have already rage quitted and my computer has already crashed (for some reason) while trying to do this bloody section!

If Kent dies you won't be able to further upgrade the silver shroud armour which is one of the best weight vs. damage reduction armours in the game.

Same deal if you do the quest after lvl 25 or whatever.

I encountered the same bug - no dialogue interface pop up when entering Sinjin's room. and after some try and error, I found a solution without a console command or drug.

Quicksave before entering the room. after entering the room, walk up carefully to Sinjin until he says something like "Stop! or you'll see his brain"(sorry, I am a Japanese player and don't know exact words in English version). if he get aggro during the speech, Quickload and try again. if Sinjin's talk is over and no dialogue pop up, STAND STILL AND JUST WAIT. then the dialogue will pop up after a few seconds... probably. if nothing happens over a minute, better Quickload and try again.

in a dialogue, you have to persuade Sinjin to shoot you first(to save Kent). so better equip CHR+ gear when entering the room. no Silver Shroud gear needed. and successfully persuaded and get into battle, use Pip-Boy ASAP and equip gear for battle.

I have saved Kent in several playthrus. When the elevator door opens, I am already crouched, weapon loaded, and hyped up on jet. I don't even bother talking with Kent's captors. I go vats, and headshot both named hostiles - targeting the one behind kent first, then the one to my right. The two associates don't seem interested in killing Kent, but instead target me / companion.

Check this guy out, I did it the same way and it worked. Make sure you put your game play on very easy tho.

go into the console and type "tai" this will turn off any AI commands, and they wont attack him. kill sinjin and the others, then before you talk to kent type "tai" again and turn the ai back on then talk to him

This also resolve the issue when the hospital is not cleared yet.
The spawn of mixed robots and Sianjin guards trigger the execution on Kent.

i have started this game years ago and only NOW (2019) trying to finish it and came across this bug, it occurs on the TOP floor of the enemies, they don't even see me and they kill kent, dafaq??

SOLUTION: use JET run through EVERYONE don't even kill a single person, get into the elevator with the protectTRON and deactivate him. Its cool to have it as a partner but if he gets "incited" he'll just trigger the baddies to kill kent faster.

i'm high enough level to convince them to turn on the sinjin too bad i don't have the dart gun no more (i have no idea where it went as its from a super old save) it would be so much easier to pacify him with a dart

I learned you don't try to do that quest with power armor with it modified in sensors.
It'll cause Kent to be shot before you leave the first floor.
Anyway, When the elevator door opens and I just start to walk in is when Sinjin usually starts the dialog.
WARNING: If you keep moving forward after that demand, he will shoot Kent.
The last time I went in there in the Shroud armor, I brought a maxed gauss rifle with me.
Using the Silver Shroud voice, I managed to intimidate and scare the henchmen to run leaving me only having to deal with Sinjin.
As soon as the event triggered, I immediately went into VATS and targeted Sinjin's head with 3 shots.
1st shot caused Sinjin's head to explode and it was over, Kent stood up and was safe again.
Note: my charisma was only at 6. (Normal Difficulty)

dont use abilitys/gear that marks enemys, this will bug out and aggro the boss just when you enter the building.
dont move any further when the boss demands you to stop or he shot kent.

best way to save kent is the red persuation answer that it will be better to kill you first. this is the only way the boss stop aiming at kent as first target. you still must work fast than so kent dont get killed by a stray bullet.
