Shadow LOD problem, need help
Shadows are changing resolution/quality when i get to around 10 feet from them. My problem is that there is some sort of shadow lod "bubble" around me in a 10' radius. When i get closer to a shadow (for example a trees shadow) it renders them to full quality. If the shadow is more than 10' away, the quality is halved and is pixelated.

I have tried all of the ini tweaks i thought were relevant, but everything I have tried does not fix this problem.

Has anyone figured this out?

I think I noticed this one or two times, but nothing quite as jarring as you explained. What GPU are you using? I've heard there were people who had some LOD problems with textures, shadows, etc. somewhat similar to what you're describing.

Also, what are your graphics settings set to?

Hi Halo, thanks for the reply. I have fixed the "pixelated" part... that was just the shadow filters in the .ini

However the overall quality is still halved past 10 feet, I can actually see the change to the shadows quality 10 feet infront of me to all shadows.

My settings are complicated as I have had to ini tweak pretty much everything to get the fidelity and fps i desire. I will post my prefs.ini
