Can't get next Minuteman quest ***SPOILERS***

Ok, so I have been following the Minuteman questline alongside the main quest line, and I'm stuck.

I completed Inside Job, and would now like to continue with the Minuteman questline, but Preston will not give me the next quest, just those stupid "help" quests.

What do I need to do to get the next Minuteman quest? Do I need to do other faction quests, because I was hoping to split the game up into four playthroughs(one for each faction), and want to do as few other faction quests as possible.

Same problem here man... I have tried waiting for ages but just can't seem to get the next quest. I even replayed 4 hours to see if certain quests cancelled the new one out, but I can't seem to get it to work.

I seem to have hit this also, he says he has a job for me, but then does not give me one, but then maybe it is like the bos, where they also did not give me other jobs other than the random ones until I had advanced the main story a little more, then I got more of their storylines jobs.

Ok, I figured it out. You have to complete the quest "Synth Retention" before you can continue with the Minutemen quests. From there you have like, two or three Minutemen quests and the game just ends. It's super disappointing.

I just managed to fix mine as well after a whole lotta time of trying. I did all the insitute mission up to the battle of bunker hill. Here I just attacked with the institute but instantly killed my fellow courser and talked to father. You can now say you dont wanna join institute and you will become enemies. At this point 'the castle' got attacked right away when I fast traveled to it and I could finish the minuteman quests. thank god :P
