Craftable Armor Size.
Go to your Armor crafting bench and just upgrade your existing armor pieces from Light or Medium to Heavy. Works on all armor pieces, uses materials to craft (so is lore-friendly and balanced).
Uses a completely different modification slot, so will NOT interfere w/ any other modifications on your armor pieces. Yes, works on Legendary pieces as well.
There IS a perk requirement to craft these (Armorer), but I can't recall exactly which perk you need to craft the Heavy variants of armor. I believe Medium variants are unlocked at Rank 2 and Heavy at Rank 3.
You are not actually crafting NEW armor, you are just modifying existing pieces of armor that you found or bought at your crafting station, just like normal.
So if you already have some combat armor that you like, you can just upgrade it to Heavy instead of trying to find completely new stuff.
That's actually incredibly smart. I'm damned surprised someone made something that useful already, since it's not usually until the GECK drops that stuff like that is made.
Must have been a nightmare to create without said GECK. D:

Oh, I agree. There are some pretty amazing mods out there already, especially when you consider they are doing these w/ FO4Edit and no GECK.
The modding community for Bethesda games is awesome, no doubt.
