Weight Bug
So I think I'm experiencing a bug with the weight capcity. For awhile I was really over encumbered despite not having a lot of things in my inventory and so i dropped everything that could be dropped onto to the ground and so now I only have a key and a bobblehead in my inventory and it says that my currentI weight is 249 out of 290. Anyone else expericing this bug? Any tips on maybe fixing this? If not I'll just up my weight limit via console commands

Nothing in your inventory at all? No weapons, or armor? Armor takes up a lot of my weight.

Nope i dropped it all on the floor

no mods? no aid? those can sneak up on you.

double check all of the inventory tabs. if they are all clean...definitely a bug.

The only items i have right now are a key and a bobblehead. I'm thinking that it has something to do with storing junk in the workbench. I noticed this happening shortly after i stored all my junk

She is currently very naked, and huddling in a corner in the heart of Boston. Hoping, praying that a super mutant doesnt walk by.

do you still have mods in your inventory? mods take a lot of weight, store them in the workbench.

I'm getting something very similar. My actual carry weight is 210 (I think, I'm not in-game right now), but it says I'm carrying 3000+lbs. My character is naked and has nothing in their inventory except for quest items that cannot be dropped. They don't add up to 150lbs. To play at all, I have to artificially increase my carry weight, added 4000 for a simple round number.

Hopefully Bethesda (or someone else) finds out what is causing this bug.
I'm noticing this too actually. In fact... I see two different current weights for my character. If call up my inventory it shows one weigh being carried, but if I look at it by hitting R to transfer on something, like a workbench, it will show a different, higher, current carry weight. In both cases my maximum is the same.

I didn't notice this occuring until well after I had taken the Strong Back perk. So unsure if its just a general bug or tied to the perk.

Anyone out this bug and has / doesn't have this perk able to chime in on this?

Kaleb. Make sure your inventory is completely empty in your PipBoy. If you still have weight you might have "invisible items" in your inventory.

Use console "~"

Type "player.showinventory" then scroll up and see what items are in your inventory that you don't see in your PipBoy. If there are any then us the command "player.removeitem" plus the itemID that is next to the item in the console and then add the quantity.

Make sense?

Thank you very much, ^9! When I saw my carryweight I was wondering about invisible items, but I didn't know about ShowInventory. Turns out I had two invisible items cluttering about. Fortunately, the ID is listed next to the item, so I didn't have to go "help"ing for them. :-)
So any idea what these invisible items were and how you ended up getting them in the first place?
