Console commands: Reduce SPECIAL stat

Hi,

At the start of the game I got confused about the perks Rifleman vs. Commando and started maxing out the former, when I really wanted the bonuses from Rifleman (which I learned later). So a friend helped me fix that and while he was here he played around a bit with the Console.

Long story short...

He increased SPECIAL skills just to see how much of an impact it would bring to the game, and I did save before all that, but the thing is, I think I loaded an autosave or something the next day... Because now, 50h later into the game I noticed that my Luck is (+) 25... I didn't notice this until now because at the "Perk Chart" it says that I have 6 in Luck (which is the correct number). Now he wont help me fix this, so that's why I turn to... the... internet.

So to my question: is there any SAFE command to reduce this insane Luck? No wonder I've been seeing more Legendary enemies than Tin Cans...

I appreciate all the help I'll get! :)

Can't say for sure, and I don't know how often other people fight legendary enemies, but I face them A LOT. It's not uncommon for me to find 1-2 in a camp somethimes. Yesterday I faced 3 Legendary Super Mutants at the same time... haha. I have so much legendary loot... It's not even funny anymore - nothing special at all to find one! ;)

And I want to play on a harder difficulty now, BUT I don't wanna face them even more than I do now.

Didn't work... :/ When I get to the SPECIAL screen it says:

So I can't fix it from there. I did google a bit on how to increase skills and found that there's a big difference between "advstat" and "setstat" (might have gotten them wrong, can't remember exactly how you wrote them). As I understod it "advstat" increases your target skill, but doesn't affect the "Perk Chart", which actually seem to be my case? In the Luck "three" I can only use perks down to lvl 6.

So do everyone face this many Legendary enemies? :O It's really not a rare occation for me, not even semi-rare. I face them all the time which makes it so anti-climatic. There's just nothing special about them now.

First save, then take all your gear off to ensure you dont have any bonus luck equipped at the time. If your luck is still 25 and you have 6 luck in your perk tree then try:
player.modav luck -19

If you have less luck then replace 19 with the total number minus 6. (STILL NEGATIVE) So if you had 24 then do -18, etc

Let us know if this works.

Damn you man! It worked like a charm. Now SPECIAL says I have 6 in Luck! Thank you so much! :) I think 6 will be more ideal than 25, haha. Once again, thank you!
