How the hell does power work in this game?
How to connect provide power to lamps, tv, etc it's so unintuitive! I tried plugging one of those power pylons to a generator outside with a wire and the television magically worked? then when i change its location the tv turns off and the lamp turns on, no matter where I put it i can't get both to light up...did they even try getting it right? why not hire an electrical engineer who can show you how power and electricity works in real life instead of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like this lmao... so bad

Well if youre producing 3 power, and they each require 2 each, then yeah only one would work, unless you chain more reactors together. (Or whatever the numbers may be)

Ive never had a problem yet.

I agree it's unintuitive but I think I've finally figured it out. You must attach a pylon (without post) to the house. This has a radius of say HALF a house's length. This is easy to see by attaching pylon with wire to house, then moving a light bulb closer towards the pylon then moving it in opposite direction. It'll click off eventually. That's out of it's range. You may be running into not enough power though. Lights require 1 but a lot of objects require 2. I don't get why they don't have a counter in the corner though where it says for instance "10 power" why doesn't it say 9/10 used or 1/10 free? Instead you have to click on or hover over object and see if it has a green electricity symbol. You may be able to get it to work by moving the pylon around on the wall of the house too. But that's how you power lights in a house. Haven't tried tv's yet.

I get that but I don't get how power magically goes to the objects, does it work by distance or something? and what do I connect the generator to, a power pylon or whatever? I don't get it

Build a generator. Build a pylon on the house you want to power. Connect the generator to the pylon. The pylon will then have a radius around it and it will power everything in that radius if it has enough power. Remember a small generator only gives 3 power so if you have more than 3 things some won't be getting power.
