Character's head stuck sideways
My character started looking to one side after a conversation. Even if I move away, go far from the NPC, my character is permanently looking over his shoulder, usually the left but if I change direction he switches to the right. I tried reloading the game but he still runs looking sideways. Anybody seen this and know of a fix?

This reminds me in Skyrim, there was this mod which caused this bug. Player Headtracking. Regularly the character would get stuck looking at "something" on his far side, the reason why I uninstalled that mod.

Just talk to another npc and it should fix it. I spoke to my companion and it fixed it,

I think this may be caused by an NPC trying to speak to you. Sometimes they will do so while you are in another conversation or in workshop. If you move away their conversation sort of stays in the air, but your character seems to acnowledge them sometimes and be "stuck" looking in thier direction. Probably speaking to another NPC can break that hung conversation, and end the bug. Presumably, speaking to the person that wanted to talk to you should also fix it. When you hover the pointer over them even without clicking conversation options will appear.

You are responding to a eight year old thread so that tells me this bug hasn't been fixed in eight years at least.

Got the same thing here as of July 2024. Will try talking to someone else to see what's what. How irritating. I didn't hear or see anyone talking to me, but I must have triggered Bethesda's love to long distance conversations markers or something.

It's like when your companion disappears and you wonder where they went. The problem is they want to talk to you, and while that is on they will only WALK, and fall behind.
