Cybernetics looted off of you-know-who
Does anyone know any uses for the cybernetic limb actuator and pain inhibitor looted off of Kellog?

i kept them hoping to be able to use them ...but nothing yet...

There is no use for them yet. You can sell them.

But that's not to say there won't BE a use for them one day. I don't remember the parts even being worth much. Are the caps you get from them worth missing out on the possibility of them eventually being useful?

I'm holding them as trophies. I sort of like that there are a lot of items that serve no real purpose. I found Annikas locket after following entirely written clues as to where it was.

It's just a locket called Annikas locket. It's worth 20 caps or 2 silver. "Junk." despite my difficulty finding it.

Not everything that is important has huge value. I love that.

Sure do wish I could +1 posts right about now.

After some in-game terminal-digging, I discovered that there probably isn't and won't ever be a use for them.

The cybernetics were just a few of the apparently nearly countless augmentations done to Kellogg by The Institute, as part of their experimentation into cyborgs. However, that branch of The Institute was closed down some time ago and more likely than not will not ever reopen, or at least it won't if "Father" has anything to say about it.

I was sort of hoping to be able to augment myself, like New Vegas style, but with some other dude's bits and bobs still stuck to the pieces.

So i found this link,

http://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/243670/cybernetic-pieces-looted-off-of-kellogg-what-are-they-for

and i found this answer on the above link

"Yes you can indeed use the Cybernetics as implants if you stuck qith the institute. If you have the limb actuator, you won't take any fall damage, and if you have the Pain inhibitor, you take 20% less damage from all enemies. If you talk to a doctor from the bio section after you side with the institute, he'll offer to inplant them"

However i've been unable to find this anywhere else? someone that might be able to confirm?

Thanks!

Do you still have them? Give it a try.... I would be surprised if that actually works seeing many have asked about them. I remain optimistic!

I'm siding with the Institute on this current playthrough. I'm right at Kellogg. I'll check it out and see tonight.

That won't happen. If they were going to be useful, then you wouldn't be able to sell them.

Sure they would, you can sell alot of other usefull stuff. its not needed, but it can very well be usefull anyway? I think i might go side with institute to check it myself.
