Can't complete Silver Shroud side quest

Hey, maybe someone had similar problem...

I can't complete Silver Shroud quest because earier I did this quest with Bobbi, even that I have not rob Hancock. Now, I can only trigger the conversation on which he wants to join me, Silver Shroud armor and hat does not affect him. I know this is only side quest, but this is just bad, since i spent some time on it... Is there any solution?

I have a similar bug except i can't even talk to bobbi like she just stands at the door and doesn't slide it

Happened to me today. Just let him join you, he will give a speech outside about leaving his town, then talk to him again and the silver shroud dialogue will trigger.

It worked, thank you very much! I had to speak with him when he was my companion and it triggered the Silver Shroud dialogue. Thanks!

Hello I have a similar problem,when he asked me to be my companion I refused him and now I can't engage in any conversation with him.Is there any way to make him talk to me again?

You have to let Hancock join you and then talk to him, the conversation will trigger. I have played exlusively with Piper except the beginning of course and I have had this with every quest that included talking to Hancock. Dismiss your companion and take hancock as your companion and then talk to him seem to work.

Yeah I got that but I don't have any companion and when I go to talk to him,I press E my character says:"Hey Hancock", and then Hancock is saying something like :"Isn't there another ghoul you are supposed to have a chat with?on my behalf?".A while ago he asked me to be my companion but i refused him and now he is mad on me and I can't engage in any conversation with him.

Is there a quest he wants you to do first?

I have a quest at miscellaneous with the title:"Return to Hancock" and one about the silver shroud which is telling me to meet Hancock as the shroud,both of those quests are directing me to Hancock,also I have both the silver shroud costume and hat on,but seems like I just can't talk to him,making me unable to finish those quests.

i solved multiple problems for recruitable characters that way :)

I had the opportunity to try that one right after I finished the quests with Bobbi,but i refused him as I like dogmeat+ lone wanderer perk and now I can't open that conversation menu and ask him to be my companion.

Bit of a necro but for pc users at least I have a solution for the "Hancock directs you to a mission you did already and won't talk to you issue"

bring up your console command prompt and enter setstage ms04 1400

this will complete the quest where you are meant to speak to hancock as the silver shroud but the buggy game won't let you.

For PC, this will allow you to skip only this dialog event and continue with the remaining Silver Shroud quest.

setstage ms04 700
