Paladin Danse affinity

Hi there. Can i get Danse perk if i skip romance option in first two conversations? i'm making hem "excited" and "likes" for a looong time (~lvl20-53) and still no last friendly speech for perk >_<

If you simply flirt with him but don't romance, I believe you get the perk. I hope you do, otherwise that punishes people who don't like men with hairy bums.

But this options were in 2 conversations in past... with Piper were 3 conversations, and then perk. Is it mean that i cant get his perk anymore? Coz i see no option to flirt with him now T_T help plixplox

ps for real.. he likes everytime i put on\off powerarmor or craft a weapon. i did it like million times with him near and he likes it.. and still no talking ((

Is the BOS questline STRONGLY tied to the main quest line? Cos I'm doing every mission the BOS gives out and nothing major is progressing.
I'm not working on the main questline pass the airship arrival stage.

Yes they are a major faction. They start becoming a major faction (progressing the story) after the Reunions quest, Shadow of steel, Tour of duty... So on.

The part about Danse will arise around the middle of the main story prog. So you can continue without worry.

Ok cool. I was worried, as I was being given a chain of clearly important missions by the Railroad, but nothing from the BOS.

That said Paladin Danse is one of the EASIEST companions to gain affinity with. Just grab a power armor and every now and then (after fast travel, sleeping, loading a save, quick save and then reload, etc) unequip the armor, then get back into it.
He LOVES it when you enter a power armor. Racks up affinity so much, you can afford to pick options that he would clearly hate, as just a few in and out of armor would patch things up.
*Note, you need some time or a save and load, to trigger the like. You can't just pop in and out.
Pop out, get back in to power armor and then save and reload, then repeat as needed.

So Im now beyond the story stuff regarding Danse - he's been with me nearly the entire game - havent gotten an affinity speech update from him in forever - I dont know how to tell if he idolizes me or not - all I know is judging by his dialog - we're the best of friends. Still, no perk. What does it take for this damn thing to trigger?

I think I know what is going on... be warned spoilers ahead...

Have you got to the point where you found out he is an android?

To tigger the discover he is an android part...
1) you need to set up the teleport interceptor mission with the BOS (Just get them to help you. I don't think you need to stick with the BOS afterwards.)
1a) You need the BOS cos one you set things up for the teleport...
2) the lady BOS in power armor will ask you to help infect the Institue's computers.
3) Go Infect computers, talk to your son, explore the Institue, etc.
4) Report back to her
5) Talk to Maxson, he should tell you that the BOS discovered that Danse is an android base on what you found in the computers.
6) Maxson will tell you to go talk to one of the other BOS members (The scientist)
7) After some talk, you will go hunt down Danse
8) Reach Danse, convince him you won't kill him
9) Maxson will confront you and Danse
10) Convince Maxson to let Danse go
11) Talk to Danse after
12) NOW you should be able to get his perk if you have good affinity with him

Now I'm basing this off a youtube video where it shows working for the BOS + ending, so it may not be 100% correct.
Base on that video walkthrough, it does seems that Danse is a werid one where his story ties into part of the main story and its descions.

My BoS quest lines are only clenseing the land and getting items for the girl? They are just repeatables. Danse has gave me like 3 missions tops?

Ok that IS totally werid.

I wonder if its a bug... not good, cos I also have him as my BOS character's companion..

I guess one way is to wait for the wiki to fill up and see if there is any other personal quest of his that is missing?
