Frankly I want to know how to disable all music entirely. Can't make a video and put it on YouTube because some random asshat is going to copyright claim it due to the music playing in the background from one of the random 5 thousand radios left on throughout the world!
just turn the music volume to 0 then

That does not do it. Well...it turns off the combat music I think.

tune your pipboy to distress signal or something, you will just get a little static and no music (works for the ambient music) not sure on battle music

The whole point is to have ambient music, but no combat one.

Yeah, I understand what the OP wants. What I want is to disable the radio music from the radios that are laying around in the open world. For some reason the setting for Radio in the Audio section only applies to the PipBoy. The Music setting applies to only the combat and ambient music but does not apply to the PipBoy or the open world radios. It makes no sense. Ultimately I can disable all music with the exception of the open world radios and if I do that I then cannot hear ANYTHING from the radio on my PipBoy. This includes distress signals. So I have to enable the Radio volume just to hear my PipBoy radio for that stuff.

The reason this is frustrating is because I am trying to make videos for YouTube and over zealous copyright holders flag video's for even the smallest amount of sound coming out that sounds like it's theirs. Music that is coming from a radio 3 rooms over that is barely audible is cause for them to flag it. It's absurdly stupid.

world full of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, cant think of solution. try avoiding radios :), or run around and turn em all off first.

So about that...it's odd. Seems to only happen with radio's that are inside of buildings that you zone into but I can turn it off, but as soon as I zone out and back in, it's on again.

You know, I can understand a copyright holder getting upset if their song is being used without their permission and the song is the focus of the video. I get that. In this case the song was sold out to the game developer to use in the game. In any video being made of the game the song is almost always just background noise, barely audible and rarely if ever listened to all the way through. They shouldn't be able to claim anything if the song is an inconsequential part of the video. Something needs to be done about that.

If you think about it, when the music is just in the background, if anything its free advertising for the song. Maybe someone will like it and look it up. Nobody making a Youtube video is making money off the background music. It's the gameplay and the video. So if a copyright holder makes a claim on the video for the music and someone like me tells them to ♥♥♥♥ off by either editing out the music or taking down the video, all the copyright holder is doing is shooting themselves in the foot!
