Night Person - disable rank 2 night vision?
I took the perk mainly for the stat bonuses but the night vision was useful - for a time. The longer I use it the more annoying it has become, especially how much it glares in areas with lighting(i.e. buildings). It's become a blinding distraction more than an actual benefit.

I obviously don't want to go back 2 or 3 hours to an old save - is there a way I can simply kill that night vision effect, maybe via console?

Thanks!

Oh, I made the same mistake. I hate it, really really really hate. That blur at edges sucks major

I've been looking for an option to make night vision toggle-able myself (specifically I had hoped night vision scopes on rifles etc. could be toggled off during daytime), I haven't picked up that perk but will gladly avoid it from the sound of it. Anyway, you could remove the perk with the console.

Open the console with grave/tilde.
Typing in "help "night person" 4" without the first and last quotation marks will give you all the console codes for the night person perks.

If you want to remove/add a perk type "player.removeperk code" or "player.addperk code".

Meaning if you want to remove night person rank 2 specifically, type: "player.removeperk 001d2495".

You don't. I'd recommend adding a perk you want (and can get) with the console command the same way, otherwise you essentially lost a point.

You can cheat/use console to your hearts content, achieves aren't blocked.

Yeah I ended up just removing it via console shortly after when I saw the Fallout wiki had (already!) had a full console commands article up. Life is good again.

i just got the perk and when it hit 6:01 PM it was jusr ridiculous. i am going back to a previous save and it will be the very last perk on my list, and i wont ever take it unless i can turn off the night vision effect. i dont like night vision scopes and never use them. i spend at least 98% of my time crouched so it definately doesnt work for me.

all i wanted the perk for was to get the extra point of intelligence to level faster, but its not worth it. it only makes me not want to play at all, and thats slows leveling more than having 1 less intelligence point, LOL.

Only if you use mods will the achievements get blocked, but you can easily fix that with a mod.
