do heavy weapons perk and commando perks stack?
Is there any point in using both if I don't use automatic weapons other than miniguns/gattling lazer?

Easy way to test. Wait till you get to the next level, look at the damage of your weapon, quicksave, upgrade the perk, check again. If it went up, it stacks, if not, quickload and apply the perk elsewhere.

To make it easy on you, I just did exactly this test.

Heavy weapons are ONLY affected by the Heavy Gunner perk, even if they're automatic-style weapons. Miniguns and such are not affected by Commando at all.

Thanks for checking. I just came here to find out exactly that piece of information. Shame that they don't stack as it would have made miniguns a lot more ridiculous.

Does anyone know if demolitions improves the damage of explosive bullets?

Now THAT would make miniguns even more ridiculous. A flat +15 damage per bullet turning into +30? Yes. Yes please.

An extra +15 damage per shot on that thing would be so wonderful. Even though it's already broken to buggery anyway. Been wasting my perk points on achieving Nerd Rage permenantly activated thanks to radiation damage and then taking the chem perks to be chemming out on PyschoJet while using it for another +65% on top of that. Never considered Demolition until now.

According to the Wiki, yes. Legenday affix is affected by demolition expert.

Demolition expert is the only perk (to my knowledge) that can stack to increase the damage of other guns. Any weapon that deals explosive damage (such as fat man or missile launcher) benefit from demolition expert.

Legendary guns with the explosive effect also benefit from this, and it affects the damage of the gun itself, not just the ~15 explosive damage.

So basicly, you can get ~90 damage on the spray n' pray with demolition expert and commando.
