Lone master safe
On the first night of playing on the far western side of map between the Ranger Station and Relay Tower OBB-915 I found a master level safe in the middle of no where. Since I couldn't open it I put a custom marker there so I could find it again. However I accidentally clicked map again and now I lost the marker. Has anyone found thIs? Maybe help me narrow down my search?

I´m looking for that place myself, since I got a tip on Reddit about this Topic.
I am actually compiling a list over all Master Safes (also any other lock that is Master skill) over at [W.I.P] Fallout 4 Master Safe Location , and would greatly appreciate your help filling it up :)

I wish most master safes didn't just have the same random collection of ammo and a lone pipe gun as novice safes, even at level 35. (I have no scounger or cap finding perks).

Always satisfying when I stuble across an entrance that takes Master lockpick or Hacking to go through, though. (I know there was at least one place I had NO IDEA how I would have enterd normally without it).

Still, tracking master lock locations is a nice thing do be doing. For the times it's worth it.

Do you remember the exact name on the "Ranger Station" location?
I couldn't find that in the strategy guide or the physical map that came with my Vault Dweller´s Survival Guide.
Could it be Federal Ration Stockpile [fallout.wikia.com]?

I haven´t unlocked that perk yet, so I didn´t know what they contain normally.
It sounds like I should spend the next two levels skill points on Master locks and Master terminals :P

Don't you have any savegame where you still had the marker..?

I got every Locksmith/Hacker perks as soon as they became available with the intention of reducing my chance of missing out on content/loot that would otherwise warrant a revisit to terminals/rooms/safes I couldn't tap into before, on the grounds that it made a huge difference in the previous two titles. Turned out to be a bad idea.

There are not only lone master safes. You can also stumble across abandoned power-armor.

I did this exact same thing. I didn't find it to be a bad idea as I did get extra loot and experience from opening everything.

It just turned out to not having any fancy impact on anything. Sometimes it allowed me to enter an area differently but, aside from the Cryolator in Vault 101, it never gained me access to anything I could have found endless amounts of everywhere else.

Found a suit at the bottom of a lake (next to Covenant), of all places.

Haven't done much exploring in the waters myself yet. I've been saving the aquaboy perks for late / end game since I figured they were more of a "favor" thing than actually being overly useful.

Have you found anything particularly interesting in the waters? I know there is a crashed plane I've been meaning to explore at some point.

Basically that suit. Haven't explored much underwater yet (If I recall correctly I used that lake as a shortcut, and there it was, next to a downed and sunken vertibird). It's dark and murky. There's a clear water mod, but it looks like it might be too clear for my taste.

Haven't checked out any mods yet. I've heard you can just change the one graphics option in the launcher and it makes water no longer murky, but I can't remember what option it was.

I've just been using the tried and true Bethesda water glitch so far. If you swim with your eyes at pretty much the surface line of the water and look at a bit of a downward angle you can usually see as if the water isn't even there.

Ah, yes, that was it, I remembered it as a mod because it was in the nexus, but it was just that ini setting, sorry.

Yeah, what i'd like is a mod that made the water a bit less dark, but still visible. Don't know if that's even possible or if water opacity is hardcoded. *shrug*

I agree with you on that. I'd like water to be more able to be seen through but not perfect visibility. I was hoping there would be a armor mod or a light mod or piece of equipment that would allow you to see good underwater... something to go with the aqua perk.

Yeah the randomized master safes are really bad. At most they contain 100 - 200 caps worth of loot which is nothing above level 30. Never any special legendary item or rare consumeable.
