:(((
Edit: I have two GSDs now, but had one put down to cancer when he was just 4. This was only a few years ago, so Dogmeat's whining still gets to me...
or maybe just setname (click on them, type setname "name", just the name u want)
according to someone in fallout 3/nv
Does that survive Save/Reload?
Actually, I'm not interested. I'd die IRL if I saw someone shooting Butch in game...
Sorry to hear about that. My dog was pretty old by the time she was put down. She had really bad arthritis and it got to the point that medicating her enough to make her comfortable wasn't really possible.
Whenever Dogmeat gets hurt and yelps, it reminds me of when I would accidentally step on my dog's tail hairs.
If I can get this to work, thank you! If not, thank you anyway :)
I get "Item 'Stella' not found for paramerter Message" when I try SetActorFullName. When I try setname, I get "Script command "setname" not found"
Any other ideas?
I'll nip in game and try it out and let you know if it worked for me...
If you want to change the name of an actor from the console, make sure you have FOSE installed and type:
SetName 'something' <enter>
So says the internet
Ah, so in order to change Dogmeat's name I'll need to install FOSE? If that's the case I'll look into it later. I don't feel like exiting the game right now.
Thanks for the help!
I'll be sure to keep an eye out for it then. Looks like I won't be changing Dogmeat's name any time soon.
