Fort Independence Walls - Small spoilers
I have just took over fort independence, do the large holes in the walls repair over time or do they need patching up with wooden walls?

nothing in the enviroment of the game improves or changes unless you do, as far as I know. which saddens me because I want commonwealth to develop not only in words but in sight aswell

Thanks, I was kind of hoping the walls fixed themselves, as the wooden walls dont fit very well in the cracks

they dont. Tbh Its not a good location to build a base aswell. but a word of advice, go to wood structure section, select floors -> there is a floor foundation which has an elevation below it (adjustable) it pretty much fits everywhere. maybe that can solve your problems.

Yeah, the fact that the pre-existing buildings don't fix up over time saddens me too. Why the hell do my settlers keep hitting the house walls in Sanctuary with a hammer if the houses don't actually get repaired over time?

it's okay for the fortress to have some open sides, really. It's one of the most heavily defended and defensible places I've seen. Stick some turrets on the ramparts and you're golden.

Speaking of which, what's the effective range on that artillery? :)

Cheers, you know where the best place for a base is? Oh, and also that foundation was a good shout.

well Ive settled in starlight drive-in. remove the toxic cannisters with build mod. its rad free. water in middle. Ive atm 21 settlers %100 happiness. only problem is crops because the ground is concrete. but there are spots to farm aswell. Ive made a very big base though as far as IVe seen its the best spot for sandbox. not the best defendable or producing.

Sounds good, Ive mainly worked on sanctuary, but I might just patch up the walls and get castle going

careful while planning your base. Size may fill up faster than you think
