Where do I take the Dog: Mutt?

I found a wounded dog, the game names him Mutt, and I dont know what to do

Only dog I've found is Dogmeat.

Was it an injured dog you healed and then he followed you? Because I believe that is a random encounter.

Funny thing is just got that random encounter. Feel bad about that the dog is going to be cannon fodder. Wish I could tell the dog to live at sanctuary.

I healed him, he followed me for a bit then left. I then saw him later across the map, he started running towards me I almost shot him. He followed for a while again and stopped.

We need a mod that allows him to go to sanctuary.

Fallout-wikia said that he can be a follower but this bugs if you have another companion with you. when you heal him and give him a name. Because of this bug you can't give him commands and he doesn't become a "real" follower". At least that's what I found out and now I'm trying to fix this, but it just doesn't work.

I spawned the wounded dog at my position but he's still "healed up" and he can't be killed and I can't reset him or anything. I'd love to have him as a companion, because he would fit my character

We either have to wait for a bug-fix or a mod.

I just came across him randomly, I had quick saved shortly before meeting him, so I went back, sent Curie home, than healed the dog. Mutt is still glitched and won't accept commands or anything like any other follower. Seems like Mutt is just a temporary helper

Don't know why they limited it to only 1 follower. Can't wait for a mod like UFO.
