Brotherhood of Steel Support?

Has anyone seen from just randomly free roaming areas that a vertibird will show up, drop 2 knights, then provide air support until everyone is dead? It is a really helpful and fun mechanic and I would like to see it more often. (It reminds me in a way of the old Enclave Commander mod but more natural)

I've only experienced this twice in my time of playing so I am looking around to see if others can figure out what triggers it. Any info helps.

It's basically random, though a condition for it to appear would be that there have to be enemies in the area.

Seen it since the battle of Bunker Hill. BoS is still in the area fighting raiders that spawn. Good loot.

I thought I'd find this kind of thread, but was suprised on how the OP looked at it. After progressing with the story and BoS making an appearance, they've started providing air support on every major base I go to. I am not positive like the OP, actually I find this very annoying. I don't need anyone's help and enjoy doing things using my own methods. I am a sniper / sneak character and when BoS just appears everwhere I go, I find it annoying, because they alert every damn enemy in the area and make them rapidly change positions, making stealth tactics void. Moreover, I play on Survival difficulty and being discovered poses a risk to me that I'd usually be able to avoid if not for BoS aggroing everything in sight.

So far I've traveled to 3 locations after the quest and they appeared on every damn one of them to make chaos for me and my enemies. I don't think there's any way to turn this feature off, because developers never even thought that this would be more of a hindrance than a helping hand.

This has yet to happen to me instead the Vertibirds usually end up crashing and causing a great deal of explosions

I was doing a minutemen quest where i had to take a fallen city from some supermutants, and this OP ass Supermutant named HAMMER with an instakill rocket launcher, and two BoS members in power armor go Titanfall on his ass while spraying a laser minigun. this ♥♥♥♥ killed me 4-5 times instantly so i was glad.
