Read if your Geforce Experience says "Cannot Connect to nvidia"
I had this problem and thus my fps was kinda low (still 40+ but i like to have more)
i could not get my drivers to update cause it kept giving an error that it couldnt connect to nvidia
All you have to do is end the nvidia processes in your task manager, then uninstall geforce experience through control panel, and then redownload geforce experience from the nvidia site.
Apparantly if you only update your geforce experience it causes a bug, it needs to be redownloaded... bad programming if ya ask me but hey, it takes like 2 minutes to re-install
Btw. make sure you restart your pc after you reinstalled experience again :)

I don't have the Shield device and my 'new' gtx 980 is now 'old'. I never use the game ready settings and I don't buy that many new games. Also Geforce experience seems slow and clumbsy to me. I don't think that I need every new driver so I recently deleted this program. So far, so good.

Should've thought about this myself, but thanks dude, I've had this problem for a while without bothering to fix it. Now though, CS suddenly dropped to 40 fps and screen randomly disconnects
